Went to shoot at the river that runs through St. Andrews Junior College and High School. Kept getting this weird light under the bridge. I don't think this light was captured by Alvin or Kevin who were shooting right beside me at the time with the same view. Much later into the sunset, I finally caught a decent capture as we were about to leave.

#1 - St. Andrews sunset. Shot without ND filters.

#2 - Weird light (under the bridge) kept showing up in my shots at this view.

No Entry to the Bottomless Lake

Taken: 21-Nov-2010
Pictures taken with Nikon D300s + Tokina 11-16mm/2.8 + Lee Big Stopper
Location: Upper Seletar Reservoir, Singapore.

Took a spur of the moment trip out to Lower Seletar with some friends to try to catch the sunset. Weather was hazy, foggy and overcast. So in the end, I took out my 10-stop ND filter and did some long exposures for some BW action.

Sunset with wet feet

Taken: 12-Sep-2010
Pictures taken with Nikon D300s + Tokina 11-16mm/2.8 + GND0.9 + ND0.9
Location: Lower Pierce reservoir, Singapore.

Did a solo shoot at Lower Pierce to catch the sunset. It wasn't the most spectacular sunset, but it was quite fun standing on rocks ankle deep in the water with the tripod in the water. It made me only slightly nervous, triple checking to see if my stuff are all properly secured.

Dramatic sunset

I missed processing a picture taken a while back. Taken a couple of months ago, this picture turned out to be one of the nicest of the series. This picture is dedicated to the memory of the dearly departed D40x, which was the camera that took this picture.

Taken: Aug 22nd, 2009. Evening.
Taken with Nikon D40x, Tamron 17-50/2.8, Cokin P GND4 + ND8.

Moonlight, trees and the city

Taken: Sep 5th, 2009.
Pictures taken with Nikon D90, Tamron 17-50/2.8.

Went out on a early morning shoot at Lower Pierce reservoir. It was drizzling for quite a bit of time. I managed only one good shot when the rain stopped. We went joy riding after breakfast and went to explore some new places. Found some interesting sites but we will need to return to get better pictures.

In the evening I went to Esplanade with my wife and shot the cityscape at sunset. The following are the landscape pictures. I will post the potraits at a later date.

#1 - Moonlit reflections @ Lower Pierce reservoir.

#2 - Trees @ Pulau Punggol Timor.

#3 - The City. Shot from Esplanade.

#4 - Singapore cityscape @ night.

Pictures taken with Nikon D40x, Tamron 17-50/2.8, Cokin P filters.

I was very charged up after my morning shoot but that excitement was cut short by the sudden fog. I just had to go shoot again, and headed for Marina Barrage to shoot the sunset over downtown Singapore. The sunset turned out to be extremely beautiful, one of the nicest sunsets I've seen in a long time.

#1 - Beautiful sunset over the city. Taken with ND8+GND4 filters.

#2 - Marina square and the Singapore Flyer. Taken with ND4 filter.

#3 - Singapore Cityscape. Taken with ND4 filter.
