Finally got to use the 50mm/1.4 shooting portraits. Took pictures of my cute nephew. Bokeh is very much creamier and smoother compared to the 1.8. Kids are perhaps one of the hardest people to shoot. Never predictable, they seem to dart from one place to another. But once you capture the moments, it is amazing.

Clouded Barrage
Taken: 20 March 2010.
Location: Marina Barrage, Singapore
Pictures taken with Nikon D90 with Tokina 11-16//2.8.

Went down to Marina Barrage again this morning to catch the sunrise. The sun was too shy and hid behind the clouds. So I had to shoot the clouds. Met up with many friends old and new there today. Although not too productive it was a good trip, plus it started raining after we were already in the car. Just missed it. Thank you to the big dude upstairs.

The dam kelong sunrise

After a long hiatus, decided to go to Yishun dam to catch the sunrise. Even with the clear skies, it was not the most spectacular sunrise this time round. Here are a few of the pics worth keeping.

#1 - The fishing village (kelong) stands strong and quiet among the development around it.
#2 - Sticks in the water.
#3 - The sunrise at Yishun dam.
